Introduces New Credit Repair Training Certifiction Certified Credit
Repair Specialist" (CCRS™)
New CCRS™ Course is accepted for 5 CEs and 5 PDUs
San Diego, CA - The Institute of Consumer Financial Education
(ICFE) has introduced for November 2015 a new certification course
titled: Certified Credit Repair Specialist (CCRS™) It has been accepted
for 5 CEs by the AFCPE and variety of other professional organizations,
American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS.org)
accepts it for 10 for Professional Development Units (PDUs).
The ICFE's new CCRS™ program is explores the Credit Repair Organizations
Act CROA, the FCRA/FACTA laws about consumer credit repair. Nearly
every financial counselor has been asked by a client about their
credit files and what it determines in their financial lives. The
new Certified Credit Repair Specialist (CCRS™) program educates
trains and equips all financial counselors with the knowledge needed
to determine what how credit file mistakes, damage credit ratings
and scores and how to change or make improvements.

treats credit file mistakes. The most common questions asked about
credit repair is how mistakes in the file can negatively affect
the credit score. This question and others like; what are the components
that make up a credit file report and subsequent score are all covered
in the Independent Study Guide for the CCRS™. There is a 100 question
examination and 80% or better is required for a passing grade, certification
and granting of 5 CEs or 5 PDUs.
Any credit or debt counselor,
as well as financial planners and military command financial specialists
taking this course will gain the knowledge to better deal with the
credit repair process on behalf of their constituents and because
they will know the complexities of consumer credit repair.
ICFE has certified over six thousand professionals in eight
different specialty certification programs, including identity theft
risk management, credit report reviewing, debt collection compliance
and more. These professionals are employed by a wide range of organizations
including consumer credit and debt counseling organizations, credit
unions and other financial institutions, student loan lenders, cooperative
extension system, all branches of the military, mortgage, real estate,
and financial services firms; law enforcement, and other government
agencies. Many others are private credit repair practitioners seeking
some recognition, including notary public, attorneys, CPAs, CFPs,
privacy professionals, fraud investigators and consumer educators.
